Organic Food: A boon to food lovers

If we take a look at studies, almost each of us has been a victim of food poisoning at least once in our life and we seriously need food assistance to repel this common problem nowadays. Using organic food is one of the best way to compensate this problem as organic food is the only food produced without the usage of those chemical fertilizer and pesticides which are the main reason behind diseases caused by bacteria, viruses and parasites found on raw food that is not carefully washed or prepared.  They don’t have chemical food additives or industrial solvents.

Organic food mainly consists of organic ingredients. A recent survey in different universities says that eating organic cookies is lower in calories and could be eaten more often than conventional cookies. Using these organic food a lot many diseases can be controlled to a greater extent.

Even if we look at the history, we can find that agriculture has been organic for the vast period of time; It is 20th century only when a large amount of new chemicals introduced in food supply. The green revolution in 1940s was an attempt to grow organic food through organic farming.  Earlier consumers had to directly contact farmers for organic food free from chemical treatment and different pesticides. But with time small but healthy food stores turned instrumental to bring this food to wider audience.  Today we can find the food we are seeking very easily through different food stores and supermarkets opening day by day, we don’t have to depend upon growers for this.

It is also possible to grow this organic food by ourselves today, It does not need a vast land or any experience in it; we just need a small land and a quite few things to take care of.  Some psychological factors such as “Halo” effect, related to consumption of organic food are also motivators to purchase organic food.
